Salary in hryvnia, euro, dollars

The rate in the listing is in złoty, but you want to think in your own currency. Convert an hourly or monthly rate at the official National Bank of Poland rate.

NBP rates (tables A and B) As of 09/18/2026
This is the official NBP mid rate. At a bank or exchange office, when sending money home, the rate will be 1–3% worse and the transfer may carry a fee. The figures are a guide for comparing jobs, not an exchange offer.

NBP rate
This is the same amount as in złoty — just in another currency. If the listed rate is gross, take-home will be 25–30% less: first work out net in the gross↔net calculator.

How much is that at home: comparing jobs

Converting to your currency is convenient, but compare jobs in złoty and net: you'll spend the money in Poland, and the rate changes daily. Currency matters for one question — how much you can send home. There, transfer fees and the gap between the NBP rate and the bank or exchange-office rate also count.

How to send money home more cheaply

  • Compare the final amount the recipient gets, not the “zero fee” — the difference is often hidden in the rate.
  • Sending złoty to a card in Ukraine with conversion by the receiving bank is often better than converting in Poland.
  • One larger transfer a month is cheaper than many small ones.

FAQ

Where does the rate come from and how often is it updated?
From the National Bank of Poland's official tables: table A (euro, dollar, hryvnia and other major currencies) is published on business days around 12:00, table B (leu, lari, tenge, som, dong, taka, rupee) — on Wednesdays. We refresh the data every few hours.
Why is the exchange-office rate different?
The NBP publishes a mid rate for settlements; exchange offices and banks add their buy/sell margin — usually 1–3%.
Is the listed rate gross or net?
Usually gross. Before converting, work out the net amount — otherwise the take-home figure will be overstated by about a third.
